Jake was our introduction to the conformation ring.  His willingness to learn and his spirit in the ring were contagious.  Although he is small in stature, he will always be our "big" boy.  His temperament and wonderful attitude are a credit to his breeders, Carol and Rob Thomas of Patriot Danes.  Retired from the ring, he remains an important part of our lives - he is chief puppy trainer, official welcome committee, and never fails to warm our bed at night!  A special thanks goes to Carol and Rob for sharing this boy with us and to Carol for convincing me that I wasn't too old to handle a dog in the ring!
